My first post of January 2015. Happy New Year to you all. Hope you enjoyed Hogmanay and New Years Day however you spent it. Seems like I might be getting too old for partying until 3am and a Chinese meal followed but a trip to the funfair is definitely not a good plan.

2014 was a fantastic year for my blog and my freelance foodie work. I really struggled to choose my posts for this roundup and have had to leave out a number of favourites including my Foraging Events with Galloway Wild Foods and Outdoor Family Events with Mud Pies. Plenty more of those to come this year.
An exciting end to 2014 was finding out that I had broken in to the top 100 of the Foodies 100 rankings. Every month the Foodies 100 index analyses and ranks almost 5000 member food blogs using an algorithm that reflects popularity, engagement and influence. In December 2012 I was ranked #283 so I've come a long way. I was also chuffed to learn that the most read post on Foodies100 this year was none other than my tasty guide to eating out in Aberdeen. Bring on 2015 and more of the same!
May the best ye hae ivver seen be the warst ye'll ivver see.
May the moose ne'er lea' yer girnal wi a tear-drap in its ee.
May ye aye keep hail an hertie till ye'r auld eneuch tae dee.
May ye aye juist be sae happie as A wuss ye aye tae be.
Happy New Year and congratulations on moving so far up the Foodies charts! :)
