With apologies to Ms Minogue and to you if you now have it as an earworm for the rest of the day. I've been lucky enough to win some fantastic foodie prizes of late. Lots of hard work involved too so not just chance. My #SpecialK30 blog post reminiscing of my childhood food of 30 years ago (complete with illustrations) scooped me a runners up prize of six months supply of Special K. I had assumed it would come in voucher form but no. 32 boxes arrived on my doorstep. Cue Special K Jenga.
My Turkey Keema recipe won me first prize in the British Turkey blogger recipe competition. £100 worth of stylish Joseph Joseph kitchen goodies. Just need to get me a stylish kitchen to match.
Netted myself a Sainsbury's Magazine Cookbook thanks to being the 1000th Twitter follower of its editor Helena Lang. The awesome Gillian Kyle Caramel Wafer Tape came courtesy of a Facebook competition to guess how many Caramel Wafers appear on each roll (1320 in case you were wondering)
Got a total surprise when the Michel Roux Eggs book arrived in the post as I total forgot it was on the way as a result of participating in the #eggmainsinminutes link up with my Spaghetti Carbonara Frittata recipe. Plenty of inspiration to use the contents of my egg skelter.
So that was my winning streak. Also want to say a big thank you to all who voted for me in the Capricorn Goats Cheese Best Bleats Award. It went right to the line but I was pipped at the post and finished second. Close but no cheese.
